Although all activities are optional, we encourage our guests to tempt their adventurous side and choose among our big array of experiences, including: kayaking in the calm creeks and lakes, fishing for piranhas at sunset, skirting the riverbanks in search of playful creatures, birdwatching, trail walks, and visits to local communities to interact with the native people, and more.

Accommodations

Delfin Amazon Cruises

The Delfin II is a mid-size vessel with 14 suites, including four spacious suites with panoramic views at the front and 10 suites with wall-to-wall windows on the sides. It is the most authentic vessel in the fleet, with lots of wood and local elements that immerse travelers in the Amazon through the elevated décor.

The vessel offers different spaces for guests to enjoy the never-ending views of the Amazon rainforest, including an enchanting dining room, roofed terrace and bar, enclosed lounge room, exercise and massage room. It tends to sell on a group basis only (5 suites minimum), but this doesn’t mean you have to charter the entire vessel. A family reunion or a trip with your best friends and their kids would be a perfect way to explore the rainforest in style. There are two sets of suites that interconnect, which makes it ideal for families with little ones.

Peru Welcomes You with Open Arms

Peru is for the curious traveler, the adventurer, the solo traveler or to be shared with loved ones. Peru is ready to fill your being with whatever you are looking for – Off to the airport to take the 1.5 hour flight to Iquitos. I arrived and was quickly greeted by the Delfin Amazon Cruises representatives. We were gathered onto the van and headed through Iquitos and on our way to Nauta where the Delfin III was waiting. The ride was around 2 hours, but felt much quicker. I was so excited to be there and was taking everything in as we drove by the markets, tuk tuks and people interacting with each other in their daily lives. We arrived at the Delfin Amazon Cruises lounge and hopped on a skiff that brought us to the ship. It’s hard to describe seeing The Amazon Rainforest and the Delfin III vessel for the first time – it’s almost overwhelming. Hard to grasp the vastness and beauty of it all......to read more check out my blog on Peru!
